From the PLATFORM 2015: Dancers, Buildings and People in the Streets catalogue:

I have come to accept that my body is different every day.  My technique is far from perfect, I will have to sweat and work every day to feel like the dancer I want to be.

Sara Mearns is a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet. She is originally from Columbia, South Carolina but has lived in New York for the past 14 years. Sara is known for her role of Odette/Odile in Swan Lake as well as many major roles in Balanchine and Jerome Robbins ballets.

Sara Mearns collaborates with Rashaun Mitchell on Thursday-Saturday this week! Tickets are selling fast! Read more about their “Dance Dialogue” presentation here.
