Constellations and Influences: Michelle Boulé

April 20, 2015

Tracey Emin

Lygia Pape

Eva Hesse

Agnes Martin

Valie Export

“My most significant artistic influences are the lineage of choreographers and dance artists and teachers I’ve worked with. They’ve given me so much to chew on and grow from! Also, a long list of female visual artists who’ve dealt with the delicacy, strength, and mystery of the feminine. I also read the John Cage bio Where the Heart Beats while making this piece and resonated with so much of what he was exploring.”
