This isn’t the first time Souleymane ‘Solo’ Badolo has made our list this summer. If you’re lucky enough to be at beautiful Mount Tremper Arts in the Catskills on Saturday, Solo will be wrapping up his residency with a showing of Buudou, BADOO, BADOLO, which will premiere at Danspace in the winter! It’s a New York Times critics’ pick. Souleymane Badolo’s Mount Tremper Arts residency is made possible through a partnership with Danspace Project through the NYS Dance Force.

While we anxiously await the premiere of Okwui Okpowasili’s Bronx Gothic (co-presented by Danspace Project & PS122 and premiering at Danspace this winter!!), we enthusiastically recommend catching Okwui’s open rehearsal at LMCC’s Arts Center at Governors Island if you’re in NYC on Saturday.
