Lydia Bell, Development and Curatorial Associate: This July 4th weekend I have family in town and I plan to drag them to as much art and dance as humanly possible. I’m particularly looking forward to seeing choreographers Rashaun Mitchell and Silas Riener’s new work at the River to River Festival. Mitchell’s Danspace commission Nox (2012), made in collaboration with Silas Riener and featuring poet Anne Carson, was a huge highlight of last year for me. I’m also hoping to stop by the Park Avenue Armory to see Paul McCarthy’s WS and White Columns to see The Cat Show. If I could magically transport myself to the Catskills I would also see Michelle Boulé at Mount Tremper Arts!
