Vanessa Anspaugh: we were an island
February 20, 2014
Vanessa Anspaugh's "We Were an Island" by Ian Douglas
Under rising waters, under flesh’s cover, we ask how bodies share and lose one another. Self and other, like tectonic plates, shift, rub, split apart and erode within nature’s queer melo-drama. Mapping territories of togetherness, we discover that to know a body is to know its absence and we ask each other if the way to know absence is to find new land. – Vanessa Anspaugh
Vanessa Anspaugh’s we were an island premieres tonight at 8pm!
