ABOUT THE ARTIST
Elliot Reed is an artist, based in New York working across video, dance, performance, and sculpture. He received his MA in Choreography from Master EXERCE ICI-CCN in Montpellier, France, and is a member of The Whitney Museum ISP 23-24 cohort.
Elliot is a 2019 danceWEB scholar, 2019–20 Artist in Residence at the prestigious Studio Museum in Harlem and part of the museum’s permanent collection. Reed was also the recipient of the 2019 Rema Hort Mann Emerging Artist Grant. Recent gallery and museum exhibitions include Kinshasa Glarus, Lucerne Festival with JACK Quartet, Metro Pictures, MoMA PS1, OCD Chinatown, The Getty Center, Hammer Museum, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, The Broad, and performances in Tokyo, Osaka, London, Mexico City, Vienna, and Hamburg.
Nadira Foster-Williams began her life’s calling as an actress, writer, and multi-medium artist in the void between the quiet suburbs and bestirring urban pavements of Newark & Plainfield, New Jersey and Crown Heights, Brooklyn. A lifelong child, dreamer, and professional powerhouse with an awesome penchant for intimate detail, Nadira can best be understood by her name, which in its pure Arabic root means, “rare and unusual gift.”
Nadira’s acting career was catalyzed by her winning a full scholarship at the historical Susan Batson Studio, on which she remained for 3 years. She then completed the William Esper 2-year program with Acting Coach, Barbara Marchant. This education has granted Nadira the mastery of her instrument in the realms of surrealism, drama and comedy and as a result, she has been seen for iconic roles in TV and Film. Winner! 2018 Best Actress Award in the Windy City Film Festival.
