Ten years after DonChristian Jones’ Danspace debut as a part of the Eiko Otake guest curated Platform 2016: A Body in Places (featuring Eiko Otake and co-curated with Judy Hussie-Taylor and Lydia Bell), Jones comes full circle with I’ve Been Waiting for This Moment for the Rest of My Life. This new work, with dramaturgy by Morgan Bassichis, will begin as a staged reading, dissolving into a performance of Black Quantum Physics—a non-linear chronicling of a life of art making, addiction, and attempts at repair.

DonChristian Jones is a New York–based artist, musician, and producer whose diverse artistic practice spans painting, music, film and video, time-based performance, and public murals, while blending genres of painting and performance installation. They have shown work at venues such as The Whitney Museum of American Art, the New Museum, The Brooklyn Museum, and The Shed. In the spring of 2020, Jones founded Public Assistants, a community design studio and mutual-aid hub located in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. He was the first Adobe Creative Resident at MoMA in 2024 and presented an exhibition at MoMA PS1, The Sumptuous Discovery of Gotham a Go-Go, in 2025.
